Opus 5.5 made a five-minute music video arguing AI is not a normal technology.
What mattered
Opus 5.5 can now make a watchable five-minute music video. Since Claude Opus 5.5 came out on 22 September, people on Twitter have been sharing videos it made. One of the best is "AI is a normal technology?", an animated rap video made by Opus 5.5 with music from Suno. The lyrics argue with the slow-diffusion case (the dynamo took 40 years to rewire factories) and with sceptics like Gary Marcus and Yann LeCun, then ask: "what's your forecast when the hammer starts to build the hand?" The one-prompt claims undersell the work: good results come from a workflow with a style reference, a code-based renderer and a storyboard review before anything animates (Rexan Wong's workflow).
